I held her in my arms,
for one last time,
The sweetest kiss,
so divine,
Her body glistened,
in the full moonlight,
As I held her in my arms,
that summer night,
I could feel her heartbeat,
through her skin,
so tender,
As she gave,
herself to me,
as if to surrender,
Offering her soul,
for that one last kiss,
From the forsaken,
to to give,
was her only wish,
A teardrop falls,
from the pain inside,
For she gave herself,
and I know not why,
My wings,
wrap around her,
as if to cradle a baby,
for I'd lost his soul,
and no one,
could save me,
She slowly,
closed her eyes,
as she gave,
herself to me,
It was right there,
I knew,
This love was true,
As she drifts away,
I whisper in her ear,
always remember,
I'll have you here.

The Rain Keeps Pouring
She doesn't realize,
that I can see it in her eyes,
The pain that's hidden,
deep inside,
The inner tears,
I see her cry,
The constant noise,
and endless drone,
To curl up in a corner,
then left alone,
No peace at work,
or quiet at home,
A constant storm,
the rain keeps falling,
No break in the clouds,
forever pouring,
no umbrella to shield,
from the constant beat,
As she sits and waits,
for her man to arrive,
To shield her,
from the rain that falls,
She knows,
he would protect her from it all,
It hurts,
to see her like this,
She has a smile,
She has a wish,
The dreams she has,
are locked up inside,
His only dream,
is to bring them alive,
Take away the sorrow,
and be with her tomorrow,
He knows she's hurting,
and so is he,
Distance keep them apart,
he wants to hold her again,
Feel her heartbeat on his chest,
to be there again.

In The Underworld
I was lost,
In my dreams,
No escaping at all,
I have seen,
the Demons and Kings,
Fighting the Holy war,
Angel's scream,
as the Demon's gleam,
Flesh and souls,
taken all,
I close my eyes,
and breathe once more,
As I raise up,
my sword for war,
I can't help but think,
I've been here before,
In the underworld,
In the underworld,
Burning flesh,
crucified,
The demons of darkness,
take over my soul,
No control,
now I am damned,
In this world,
as I fall,
ever more,
In the underworld,
In the underworld,
In this fire,
The flames rage higher,
As my soul cries out,
forever more,
In the underworld,
in the underworld,
I am left here alone.

Sleep of Reason (A print by Goya 1799)
I sit at my desk,
with quill at my side,
To tired for rest,
unable to write,
Still drifting away,
to my subconsciousness,
Out of the dark,
nightmares come,
Tormenting my mind,
at the fall of the sun,
The demons are there,
waiting for me,
to drift away,
They won't let me be,
The vampire bats,
and visions of night,
Owls in my room
They attack,
scratch and bite,
Leaving their scars,
as I begin to write,
These are the creators,
that run through my mind,
when I'm asleep,
they're not hard to find,
no heed or warning,
never a sign,
but when I'm exhausted,
that's when they start,
Seeing these visions,
that's when I see,
Just what these creatures,
are doing to me,
they open my eyes,
to possibility.

Alone
Where am I,
Is this the reason why,
Feeling lost and alone,
as life passes by,
Yet, no one can hear me,
As I look to the sky,
and give out a cry,
For the love that past by,
Why can't you see,
What has happened to me,
This person that I have become,
The feelings inside,
Never trying to hide,
My heart, from my mind,
Breaking time after time,
and the reason to be,
The memories of the past,
kept in an hour glass,
The running of the sands of time,
repeating in my mind,
Giving my heart, right from the start,
My mind lights up that new spark,
as the heart beats fast,
Then after a while,
You lose that sweet smile,
and pain and anger ensue,
breaking my heart,
with a penknife to start,
now I listen to the old ragtime blues,
A drink in my hand, thinking of a lost land,
Isolated from a world I knew,
Beginning again,
Thinking of love a new,
with a broken smile.

Come Away
I was battered,
and broken,These words,
that I've spoken,
These lines,
that I've written,
The pain,
that I've suffered,
I had to escape from,
The hurt from another,
And now I'm finally free,
Come away,
come away with me,
Come away,
come away,
save yourself,
You have captured my heart,
And the words that we've spoken,
our hearts have been broken,
So many times,
from the pain,
and lies,
I promise you,
We'll live,
our lives,
Leaving the pain behind,
Now that we are finally free,
Come away,
come away with me,
Come away,
come away,
be yourself,
Create your dream,
lets turn it in to reality,
and change our lives,
The way they're meant to be.
